Paper Play

Notes

Idea

Construction paper and paper mache for a kids' craft channel: the controls are torn and cut paper laid over the picture, with a teal sheet torn along its top, a coral strip for what you have watched and a thumbprint pressed into a paper disc as the playhead.

Accessibility

The paper texture stays behind the controls, never inside them: the time and icons are solid cream on teal paper above 4.5:1, the seek sits on its own row above the buttons so tab order matches reading order, and with forced colors on the paper steps aside for plain system colors.

Craft

The textures are reusable SVG noise, torn-edge and deckle masks colored by CSS variables, so one paper kit makes the bar, the stacked center play and the error card, and on hover each layer lifts by a different height on its own soft shadow.
